About Me
I am an integrative Counsellor which means that my style of working is influenced by varied psychological theories and techniques. I tailor my approach to each client.
I value a diversity of minds, families and bodies and I work in an LGBTQIA+ affirming way.
I'm aware of the courage required to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.
I am here to support and empower you in that transition. I love what I do. My only role in us working together is to help you achieve clarity and balance so you will move ahead in life with strength and purpose.
From that place I can walk alongside you, as I have so many others through times of change, uncertainty and the unknown.
You could be at a crossroads in your life and feeling like it's time to shed who you were, ready to step into a new phase. Let's talk about it and see what else is at play.
Qualifications & Experience
I am a professionally trained Counsellor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and abide by their high standards and ethical codes. Along with having a private practice now, I spent many years working for a Charity where I still see clients.
My training was in the Humanistic Model which left me with a particular appreciation for the Existential approach as well as the Person Centred approach to working with clients. I have ongoing professional development studies which keep me informed about varying theories and techniques. My most recent learning included working in the area of Trauma and Shame.
